Dual Degree Program: These programs are offered jointly with Arizona State University, USA. Students will study the first two years at Shiv Nadar University Delhi NCR and the last two years at Arizona State University, USA. The approximate tuition fee for two years in ASU is $90,000* and living expenses $30,000*

For IB and Cambridge Board, criteria are as follows:

  • Eligibility for IB students: Aggregate of 28 grade points out of 45 or ≥65%
  • Eligibility for Cambridge Board students: Minimum of 2 subjects at ‘A’ level and aggregate of ≥65 Percentage Uniform Mark (PUM)
  • English is a non-mandatory subject for students of IB and Cambridge Board

Scholarships and Financial Aid:

Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR offers scholarships and financial aid to deserving students meeting the eligibility criteria.

Guidelines for Scholarship and Financial aid:

- Applicants must select the type of scholarship they wish to apply for when they are filling the application form.

- Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR reserves the right to edit and alter this eligibility policy as it deems fit.

- Two scholarships cannot be held at the same time, a student must choose any one scholarship if awarded more than one scholarship.

- All decisions on scholarships rests solely with the university and is not subject to challenge or appeal.

Categories of Scholarships:

The following types of undergraduate scholarships are offered by the University:

  • Interdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences (IHS) Scholarships:- The top 10 performers securing admission to the B.A. (Research) in Interdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences (IHS) program through any entrance test will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver for all four years of study.
  • School Topper’s Scholarship:- Awarded to students who have achieved the highest academic standing in their respective schools in class 12th Board Exam.
  • Merit-Based Scholarship:- Granted to students with outstanding academic performance in qualifying examinations such as Class 12 Board or equivalent Exams.
  • JEE and UCEED Scholarship:- Awarded to students with extraordinary performance in the JEE (Main) and UCEED entrance exams.
  • Need-Based Scholarship:- Provided to students from low-income households to ensure access to quality education at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR.
  • Sports Scholarship:- Awarded to students who have demonstrated excellence in sports at the international, national, or state level.
  • Women in B.Tech. Scholarship:- Designed to encourage and support female students pursuing undergraduate programs in Engineering and Technology.
  • Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Granted to top-performing students in the University’s entrance examination (SNUSAT) across programs.
  • Armed Forces Dependents Scholarship:- Available to wards of serving, retired, or deceased personnel of the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, and Indian Army.

Students who get selected through College Board SAT can apply for College Board India Scholarship which is awarded by the College Board to Indian students with exceptional SAT scores and demonstrated financial need. Please refer to College board website for Details.

Detailed terms and conditions of scholarships:

  • School Topper’s Scholarship : The student must be the topper of the school from which he/she completed the Class 12 Board. The school principal has to certify that the student is the topper of the school in 2026 Board examination. The minimum score required to be eligible for this scholarship is 98 % aggregate including all subjects listed in the Class 12th marksheet. Students selected for this scholarship may receive 100% waiver on tuition fee.
  • Merit-Based Scholarship – The minimum score required to be eligible for this scholarship is 95% aggregate including all subjects listed in the Class 12 marksheet (minimum 40 for IB and A* for cambridge board). Students selected for this scholarship may receive 50% waiver on tuition fee.
  • JEE (Main) Scholarship - Students who have secured admission through JEE (Main) and has scored more than 98 percentiles may be eligible for 100% tuition fee waiver, and students having scored between 95 to 98 percentiles in the JEE (Main) may be considered for 50% tuition fee waiver.
  • UCEED Scholarship - This is a special scholarship for students joining the four-year BDes program, The top UCEED performer may apply for this scholarship, students having ranked 120 and better may receive 100 % tuition fee waiver .
  • Need-Based Scholarship – Students with combined family income of less than ₹3 lakhs annually are eligible for this scholarship. ITR verification, home visit and personal interaction is conducted by the university through a third party for verification. Selected students may receive up to 100 % waiver on tuition fee as well as hostel fee.
  • Sports Scholarship – A student can apply for sports scholarships for the games/sports in Badminton, Chess, Squash, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, and any other sport recognized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR. Students must have represented/won medal at International, National/School Nationals, State in respective sports/games recognized by National/International sports federations/bodies of respective sports/games. Students playing for India at recognized international tournaments from other sports, may also be considered for this scholarship as an exception and as per the availability of the required resources and, the number of players. Students selected for this scholarship may receive 20% to 100 % waiver on tuition fee depending on the decision of the sports committee.
  • Women in B.Tech. Scholarship – Only female students joining the engineering (B.Tech) program of the university are eligible. The performance in the entrance examination used for seeking admission to our BTech program would be used for deciding the eligibility for this scholarship. Students selected for this scholarship may receive ₹1 Lakh (One lakhs annually) waiver on tuition fee.
  • Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship – Students selected for this scholarship may receive ₹1 Lakh (One lakhs annually) waiver on tuition fee depending on the performance in the entrance examination used for selection in the undergraduate program at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR.
  • Armed Forces Dependents Scholarship – Available to wards of serving, retired, or deceased personnel of the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard and Indian Army. Students selected for this scholarship may receive 25-100% waiver on tuition fee.

Duration of Scholarships:

- All scholarships shall be awarded for one academic year.

- All scholarships are valid for 4 years of the program duration, provided the student satisfies the minimum CGPA criteria of 7.0, minimum attendance of 75 % in every semester (except for Sport Scholarships), and no disciplinary action against the applicant is taken or pending during the entire tenure of the program.


Financial Aid:

Instructions:

- The “Financial Aid Application Form” will be enabled on the application dashboard of all the students, the applicant must be informed to check the box “Financial Aid Required” while filling up the admission application form at the beginning of the admission process.

- Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR reserves the right to edit and alter the eligibility criteria as it deems fit.

- Scholarship and Financial Aid cannot be clubbed, a student must accept any one of these if awarded.

- Details and proofs submitted with the Financial Aid Application Form will be physically verified by a nominated person at your address. you are advised to cooperate with the verification process.

- The decision to award the scholarship and financial aid rests solely with the university and is not subject to challenge or appeal.

  2. Declaration of the details of loan taken and loan statements for 6 months
  3. Income Tax Returns of all earning members of the family for two years (recent)
  4. Address Proof ( any two of the following: Voter ID, Ration card, Aadhar Card, Passport, Electricity bill)
  5. Bank Account Statements of all earning family members for 6 months or Form 26 B of Mother and Father/ Earning members
  6. Declaration by the parents on the number of bank accounts holds by them
  7. School Fee Receipt(s) of the applicant for Class 12 and School Fee Receipt(s) for the applicant’s sibling/s.
  8. Declaration of Details of Financial Asset(s) owned by the family as defined above
  9. Company's Income Tax Returns and Bank Statements (in case any earning member of the family owns a Business)
  10. Area in square feet (In case of houses and commercial spaces) and hectares (In case of agricultural land)
  11. Declaration of the quantity of gold and silver in the possession of the immediate family members
  12. Declaration of the vehicle/s owned by the immediate family members (copy of the registration certificate to be submitted).
  13. Auto Loan if taken, the proof of the same to be presented.
  14. Declaration of the value of the investments and proof document of Insurance, FD, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Insurance, and any other financial asset.
  15. Declaration of the scholarship and financial aid received by any of the family members in the last 5 years.

Retaining your scholarship or financial aid:

Students who receive scholarships or financial aid must maintain a CGPA of 7.0 at the end of every Spring Semester (after consideration of the Summer Semester, if any), minimum 75% of attendance (except sports scholarship), and no disciplinary action against the applicant is established or pending during the entire tenure of the program to retain their scholarships.

*The living expenses include hostel fees, mess charges, and laundry charges, and they cover access to 24×7 primary medical services. The hostel fee of ₹2,43,500/- is considered for twin-sharing AC rooms. For non-AC twin sharing rooms, the charges will be Rs 2,28,500/-. The hostel room type, and the eligibility of hostel category may change from time to time and in case the student is given or opts for higher category hostel room types, the student will have to bear the additional expense of higher category hostel room as per the actual allocation. Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test & Academic Proficiency Test (SNUSAT & APT)

SNIoE ODAT will be available in online mode from July 2 –July 5, 2023 with 3 time slots each day.

It will be a two hour online exam

SNIoE ODAT is for the candidates who have not appeared or qualified in UCEED or other Design Entrance Examinations and want to apply for B. Des. Admission.

SNIoE ODAT assesses a student's

  • Logic and reasoning (60 marks)
  • General awareness (40 marks)

Make sure your internet connectivity and webcam of your device are working properly. Place your device in a way that your face and upper body part is visible. You need to keep the following items with you for the test:

  • A4 sheets for rough work)
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Eraser and Sharpener

The qualifying students have to send their portfolios to design@snu.edu.in before their scheduled interview.

Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test & Academic Proficiency Test (SNUSAT & APT)

Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) is an entrance test for admission to all the undergraduate programs at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR campus. It's an online home-proctored test. It will be conducted across 6 cycles from January 2026 to July 2026. The sample questions will be uploaded to your application dashboard once you select the SNUSAT route and complete your application payment.

The SNUSAT measures quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning.

Students applying to BTech programs and BS Computer Science must also take the APT which tests subject knowledge in Physics and Mathematics.

1. SNU Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) Applicable for all the UG programs.

Education Loans

We, at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR are committed to supporting our students' academic journeys by offering access to education loan assistance. We have partnered with leading banks and aggregators to facilitate education loans that can cover tuition fees, living charges, and other academic expenses.

Section 80E of the Indian Income Tax Act provides a tax deduction for the interest paid on education loans. Here are the key details:

  1. Who Can Claim: Individuals who have taken an education loan for themselves, their spouse, or children, or for a student for whom they are a legal guardian, can claim this deduction.
  2. Loan Purpose: The loan must be for higher education. This includes any course pursued after completing the Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent from a school, board, or university recognized by the central or state government.
  3. Amount of Deduction: The entire interest paid on the education loan during the previous year can be deducted from taxable income. There's no upper limit on the amount that can be claimed.
  4. Duration of Deduction: The deduction is available for a maximum of 8 years starting from the year in which the interest payment begins, or until the interest is fully repaid, whichever is earlier.
  5. Loan from Specified Financial Institutions:The loan must have been taken from a bank, financial institution, or approved charitable institution. Loans from friends or relatives are not eligible for this deduction.
  6. No Deduction on Principal Repayment:: The deduction is only available for the interest component of the Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) and not for the principal repayment.
  7. Claiming Deduction: To claim the deduction, fill out Form 80E while filing your income tax return, providing details like the amount of interest paid, the name and address of the lender, etc.
  8. Utilization of Deduction: This deduction can significantly reduce your tax liability, as the interest paid on education loans can often be substantial

Overall, Section 80E aims to provide financial relief to individuals who have taken loans for higher education by reducing their tax burden.
